The tomatoe (or tomato) is perhaps the most popular vegetable in the world. But also, the production of tomatoes happens throughout the world.
From a nutritional point of view the fruit of the tomato contains vitamin A and has a low caloric value. It should be noted that the tomato enhances the immune system, regulating blood pressure, protect against prostate cancer and lowers cholesterol.
Although the tomato is considered a summer fruit, the cultivation is done in winter as well in greenhouses. The largest production in our country is from Crete, and Greece exports to all of Europe.
